RC2 Corporation, maker of products for mothers, infants and toddlers, has finished the acquisition of virtually all assets of JJ Cole Collections, a privately-held manufacturer of travel, storage, comfort and convenience products for parents with babies, including the Bundleme brand. JJ Cole generated approximately $15.5 million in net sales in 2009. RC2 paid roughly $40 million to acquire the company.
Key management, including JJ Cole CEO and founder Jeremy White, will remain on board with the company and will continue to grow the JJ Cole Collections brand. The label recently introduced a new line of stylized diaper bags, blankets and soft goods plus décor and nursery products.
“We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of JJ Cole Collections," RC2 CEO Curt Stoelting said. “Their existing and recently developed… products are a great fit with our existing The First Years and Lamaze brands and there is very little product overlap. We plan to aggressively expand JJ Cole Collections into new product areas consistent with the brand’s premium positioning." Visit www.rc2.com and www.jjcolecollections.com.
