According to the managers of Pitti Immagine Bimbo, its international market held June 24-26 attracted 11,000 visitors—approximately 7,000 of whom were buyers—and a strong showing of people from around the globe. Held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy, the 71st edition of the show presented 539 children’s collections and boasted a fresh exhibition design by Patricia Urquiola that included innovative new sections such as “pop-up stores.”

“All the most important buyers were present and the best news for our exhibitors is that there was a clear increase in the number of orders placed at the fair,” Pitti Immagine CEO Raffaello Napoleone said. That, plus the slight growth in attendance compared to 2009 and 4 percent more attendees coming from around the world “confirms the undisputable leading role played by Pitti Bimbo and its ability to renew itself, always offering the market new opportunities and new discoveries,” he added.

The next edition is scheduled for Jan. 20-22, 2011. Visit www.pittimmagine.com.
